[Discussion] Will the US-China trade war escalate further?
I'm curious to see what everyone thinks about the escalation of the US-China trade war. Will we reach a deal soon or do you think we are heading towards a downward spiral? Should there be legit concern over China dumping 1.1 trillion worth of U.S. Treasury bonds?
some recent updates.
apparently, each stage of the development seems to point to a larger strategy play, as if it was never about trade. like what Lutfey alluded to, it is as much a tech war, currency war, as a trade war. I would also suggest it is a cultural / system war between Communist's ideology vs the rest of the world.
I think US made a big mistake going against a power like China.
They needed to have some allies, and it feels like USA is isolated in this trade war, and doesn't have the adequate support to push this through.
