•Jackie Tan is the co-founder of UpLevel, an edutech company that helps data science learners get better with project-based training. He has extensive experience in teaching learners, ranging from face-to-face classrooms of 30 people, to massive online lectures of 1000+ people.
He is most concerned about helping data science learners close the gap between what they learn from platforms and what is required for independent coding.
Prior to UpLevel, Jackie obtained his PhD from Nanyang Technological University, where he applied machine learning and deep learning techniques in protein research. During his candidature, he also built and sold a deep learning insurtech startup fundMyLife.
